Russia’s Transneft instructed to halt oil pdt supplies to Ukraine
MOSCOW, Sep 9 (PRIME) -- Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft has received instructions of the Central Energy Customs to suspend oil product supplies to Ukraine, Igor Dyomin, advisor to the company’s president, told PRIME on Friday.
“To ensure the Russian legislation in the sphere of export control we were asked to stop transportation of oil products to Ukraine,” he said.
In early 2016, the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control allowed oil majors Rosneft and Lukoil to supply diesel fuel to Ukraine for civil purposes. Transneft said earlier that diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine amounted to 30,000 tonnes in May.
